How to Forgive?

Forgiveness isn't about the past, it's about the future. You can't change the past. It's done. By choosing not to forgive, you're allowing the negative past to affect your present and future.

Ya thats the thing ... its human nature that he/she doesnt forget easily watever bad happened to him/her ... if the person who has hurted u and he/she seeking for ur help and if u help that means u forget and forgive him/her watever he/she has done in past ... and if u dont help or think why shud i help .. that means u still have not fogot tht incident and not ready to forgive the person ..

well its true but okies wht if tht i dnt hate him or her for wht he did its just tht i fear tht again trusting thm might hurt me again its not abt forgiving thm its abt fear tht thy ll hurt us again some thign like tht how to overcome tht thing if we realy wanna help thm coz whn thr is a fear humns r tend to choose a more secure stuff rather thn taking steps liking helping thm

Sand and Stone

A story tells that two friends were walking through
the desert.  During some point of the journey, they
had an argument, and one friend slapped the other
one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt,
but without saying anything, he wrote in the sand:

Today my best friend slapped me in the face.

They kept on walking, until they found an oasis,
where they decided to take a bath. The one who had
been slapped got stuck in the mire and started
drowning, but his friend saved him. After he
recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

Today my best friend saved my life.

The friend, who had slapped and saved his best
friend, asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in
the sand, and now, you write on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us,
we should write it down in sand, where the winds of
forgiveness can erase it away, but when someone
does something good for us, we must engrave it in
stone where no wind can ever erase it.

Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve
your blessings in stone..
